Back to school




Today was my kids first day back to school. We weren’t ready. It’s just hard to go back when it’s still so hot.

I took my youngest to his “meet the teacher” yesterday, and I got a little sad. He’s in 5th grade, so it’s his last year in elementary school. Last year for “meet the teacher”.

He wouldn’t even let me walk him into school today. I pointed out all the other parents walking in, but he informed me that those parents were walking in with their “munchkins”.

Oh, excuse me sir. But you are still, and forever will be, my munchkin.

        Wow, your kids go back early! I hope they have a great school year. Your little guy looks adorable! A Jason Veritek in the making! :)

        It seems early to me,too. I remember going back after Labor Day when I was a kid.
