Where did October go??  Halloween is my oldest sons favorite holiday, so we’re usually looking for costumes and decorating the house by October 1.  Not this year.  The whole month just snuck by.  We finally got a few decorations out last weekend.

And my son, who loves Halloween, doesn’t want a costume this year.  He’s much too old and mature for trick or treating, now that he’s 13. He’s been invited to a Halloween party, so this will officially be the first Halloween I have spent away from him in, well, 13 years. I know, I’m a big baby, but that makes me sad.

Luckily, Nolan still wants to dress up and trick or treat.  He’s recycling a costume that is several years old, but I always buy those things big, so it still fits. I’m very happy that he’s ok with an old costume, I hate buying them, and I’m not crafty enough to make them.

If  he’ll let me, I’ll post a picture of him in costume.  I’ll have to get it before the trick or treating starts, cause once he gets some candy,  he’ll be much too busy for pictures.  Come to think of it, so will I!

Have a safe and fun Halloween.
