My teenager thought it would be too "young" for him - boy, he was wrong on that! It is such a shame, but at least now I know to check reviews even for movies that should be "kid friendly". They had heard about the 'issues' in this movie and were really disappointed. I don't know why they had to go there with a movie like this.
