This is a compensated review from BlogHer and Febreze NOTICEables
When I was given the opportunity to review Febreze NOTICEables, I did have one question. Have the people at Febreze been to my house?! Seriously. I have a twelve year old and fourteen year old son, and a very large dog, and a husband. Can you think of anyone who might need help with ODOR more than me? No. You can’t.
Nothing says “homey” more than a fresh smelling house, and I rarely never have that. Remember when your kids were babies and you loved to sniff their cute chubby necks and breathe in their baby deliciousness? Well, that does not last, let me tell you. I am constantly trying different things to eliminate odor all over my house, and until recently, I never found anything that really worked. Candles do not really help, they’re just not strong enough. Sprays only last a short time, and believe me, we need something long lasting. So I was thrilled to get my box of Febreze NOTICEables in the mail.
Before I ever opened the box, all three of the men in my house commented, asking “What smells so good?”. Before I even opened the box, people! Febreze NOTICEables is a scented oil warmer that you simply plug into any outlet and enjoy for thirty days. Instead of one fragrance, NOTICEables alternate between two complimentary scents. I tried Autumn Spice/Harvest Festivities, Warm Celebration/Pumpkin Harvest and Morning Walk/Cleansing Rain. They are all so yummy, but my personal favorite is Morning Walk/Cleansing Rain. I just love that crisp clean scent.
Now, how did they work? I put the Warm Celebration/Pumpkin Harvest to the true test of odor elimination – it went in the boys’ bathroom. Two times the boy, two times the smell. I had given up on that room and resorted to keeping the door closed. But no more. Febreze NOTICEables worked wonders in that room and in my bedroom by the dog bed. I was able to keep their bathroom door open; in fact, I purposefully walked by there more often to catch a whiff of the lovely fall scent.
Febreze NOTICEables will freshen your air for thirty days, so I am still enjoying my sweet smelling home. If Febreze NOTICEables can work in my house, they can work anywhere!

I have a regular cleaning time at my house that the kids pick up while I wipe down/do deeper cleaning. It keeps things live-able, barely.

I love a quick wipe-down with a lemon-scented cleaner; it gives my house a fresh, clean scent. I also try to crack a window every few days to bring some fresh breeze through the house.

I clean my bathrooms each and every day. For me the bathroom is the one room that, if not kept clean, can affect the smell in the entire house. I also use candles, unless I’m cooking something that smells really good then I let the smell of home cooking flood the house.

We also have a very large dog, an English Mastiff. We just made a new rule, when someone lets him outside they have to wipe the walls down with a disinfectant wipe, and sweep the floor. It takes maybe 2 minutes tops to do, but it really helps keep his smell and hair under control. We also have a Febreeze NOTICEables right beside his “room” and I love when the smell changes and I… NOTICE it!

I try my best to maintain a clean house with 2 dogs and a cat and a husband, lol ( is it even possible when you have a husband?) Maybe with dogs , but… oh well, I try at least. If I have time to light a candle and enjoy it, i do that before anyone comes in the room to spoil the tranquility. The smell of the candle is calming. After you blow it out the small bit of smoldering it does also removes odors.

The most important thing I do to maintain a clean fresh home is to make sure the air is circular no matter what. There are so many others I do to make our house is fresh and clean. Air refreshers are always must haves plus never leave dirty dishes overnight, pack trash daily, vacuum daily and mop/dust regularly. I dry clean my rugs and bleach towels to sanitize regularly as well, these really help!

I think what’s most important is that I try to make sure no one leaves wet towels or other linens lying around, the trash is taken out regularly, and the dishes are clean. (I know, you’d think those are obvious things… but sometimes the most obvious are the ones most likely to be forgotten or neglected.)

The most important thing that I can do to maintain a clean, fresh home is lock my four sons out of it! Seriously, if I could just keep them in the basement, the rest of my house would stay clean and fresh. : )
Actually one thing I do every night to enlist help from the boys before bedtime is we have a 10 minute clean up and we race around the house cleaning up as much as we can in 10 minutes. Since they view this as competition, they’re into it and actually pitch in without me nagging.

I am the only woman in a house full of 1 husband, three soccer/football playing, hygienically challenged teenagers, 2 cats a dog and 1 grumpy old-man (father-in-law). My house needs to smell better or I’m going to go insane. I would be happy to be the new Fabreeze poster family “Fabreeze…better than Prozac”
As for my cleaning tip…I should probably clean the house and then change the locks so that the problem can’t keep coming back into the house.

I am known for being a bit of a ‘neat-freak’. It’s a title I am learning to embrace!!! I’ve always been a bit obsessed with my home not only being clean but smelling clean! It’s my home’s ‘first impression’ to guests. I swear by carpet deodorizer (my fav is arm and hammer country rose scent) when I vacuum and febreze everything! I’ve got the noticeables, candles and fabric spray. When I don’t have time to clean (with 4 kids and a soldier on his 3rd tour-it happens quite a bit) I know that my house can at least fake it-and smell clean!

I clean on a regular basis. By clean I mean more than just a pickup. I deep clean. I also keep the trash emptied. With a baby and toddler in the house it’s imperative that the trash get taken out daily. I also refuse to allow laundry to build up. I do, on average 2 loads every day. I also keep plug ins in the higher outlets so the boys can’t reach and/or I burn nice light smelling candles.

The most important thing I do to keep my home fresh is make sure my kids keep up on their chores. If they take out the garbage and clean the cat box things stay pretty good.

I try to spray the kitchen sink & the toilets daily with clorx, take out the trash and if its not too cold open the windows and doors and let in some fresh air

Vent my electric dryer into the laundry room – heat and good scent at one

I love to open all of the windows and let the fresh air in. I also like to use febreeze on all of the soft furnishings. Dishes need to be done promptly and garbage taken out as well. Of course vacuuming, dusting and all other routine chores need to be done as well. I also LOVE scented candles.

The most important thing I do is keeping the kitchen clean and the trash under the sink emptied since it is often the source of odors in our home.
